People lock their homes before they step out. Car owners double-check to ensure their cars are locked before they walk away. Mobile phones and modern tech- gizmos have “killer passwords” that can take an eternity to decode or break into.
All over, we are security-conscious people. However, what is seen is how these same security-conscious people who will never leave their homes/cars/ and phones unlocked, will unlock and open up their lives with everything that’s going on in it for everyone including strangers to see on social media.
What is the point? Is it an inferiority complex or the urge to keep up with the “Jones“? What is this obsessive-compulsive behavior of wanting to share every aspect of our lives in detail on the World Wide Web?
The exposure of private lives, movements, properties, valuables, and moods is rampant these days with persons between the ages of 12-30, the bible is silent on what Jesus Christ was about, where he was, and what he was up to. For 17 years not a word about his activities. Why?
A proposed theory is that the most beautiful things in life happen in silence. When they say empty barrels make the most noise, they are usually right. There are times in life when you need to be silent and not broadcast yourself. When Jesus appeared after 17 years of silent preparation, he used just 3 years to shake the world and to date not a day passes without the mention of his Name.
People have lost ideas, positions, contracts, relationships, businesses, etc. because of their inability to remain silent. There are times in your life when you do not need to blow the trumpet about your progress to anyone except those who can help you during your period of preparation.
Be careful which aspects of your life you choose to expose to people, especially on social media, because you may be opening your life to criminals, evil eyes and evil people to attack, destroy, and kill your vision and yourself physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Do you have a strong urge to tell everyone what’s up with you???
Think again before you post.
