3 Things You Will Experience in the Wilderness
1. Personal Loneliness
As you rise in life, you attract people who may only be interested in your gift or what they can gain from you. In the wilderness, you’ll be left to fight your own battles, and those who once supported you will vanish. People will abandon you due to fear, shame, or self-preservation. You’ll lose friends fast, and doors that once opened for you will close. This is a common experience for many, including politicians, pastors, and famous individuals who have lost their status and power.
2. Fear and Suspicion
In the wilderness, you may become paranoid, distrustful, and fearful due to the loneliness and betrayal you’ve faced. You’ll question who is for or against you and seek a hiding place. Remember that every significant leader, including David, Elijah, Jesus, Moses, and Paul, has been in the wilderness. If you’re in a wilderness, don’t be discouraged; it’s a transition to your destiny. If sin led you here, repent. If the Holy Spirit led you here, obey God one step at a time. Your loneliness will drive you to depend on God, who never abandons you.
3. Time of Public Humiliation
In the wilderness, you may face public humiliation as people use your past success to mock and scorn you. You may be forced to do things to survive that you wouldn’t have done otherwise. David, who once killed tens of thousands, had to behave like a madman to survive in the wilderness. Remember, the wilderness is not permanent; it’s a transition to your destiny.
May you have peace, joy, and a fruitful week ahead. God bless you. TO BE CONTINUED…
