Unlocking Potential: Overcoming the “No More Beyond” Mindset to Embrace a Limitless Future

Say No to “no more beyond in your life.”

What is a “no more beyond”?

A “no more beyond” refers to things, situations, and people that suggest to you that you cannot rise beyond your current situation, that you are stuck and there is no way you can progress or make it.

No more beyond” are people who tell you that you will not succeed, and they put mechanisms in place to ensure you do not move forward. Anyone who tries to stifle your vision is a “no more beyond.”

Before the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain in 1492 and stumbled upon the Americas, the people of Spain had prided themselves on their misinformed belief that their country was the last westward point of solid land on a flat earth. They strongly believed that after their country there was no country beyond.

They even had the phrase “no more beyond” inscribed on their coins.

These same words “no more beyond” have found their way stamped on the minds of many people who have immense potential but have not ventured past the limits of their self-imposed boundaries. They live in frustration because they believe there is a “no more beyond” in their current job, current state of physical health, and current situation.

The paralysis that confines us to live in small spaces is often rooted in fear fueled by people closest to us. The people we love are sometimes guilty of encouraging us to live in a “no more beyond mode“. Take the example of Peter in Matthew 16:21-23. After Jesus had spoken about his suffering and death, Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him saying “God forbid it, Lord! That must never happen to you.” Then Jesus turned around and said to Peter, “Get away from me Satan! You are an obstacle in my way.” – Jesus rebuked Peter because he was playing the role of a “no more beyond” in the above text.

Some more examples of “no more beyond situations” are:-

1. A husband may be apprehensive about his wife’s desire to go back to college and complete her degree.

2. A parent might be unsettled by a child’s desire to move to a different city or country.

3. A friend may give you all the reasons why your business or your marriage would not work

4. Someone might give you all the reasons why the project you are pursuing will not work.

Listen up! when you share your dreams with people who cannot envision more, their fearful comments can be discouraging and when people encourage you to live a life of mediocrity that yields less than what you are capable of accomplishing, there is usually a selfish motive.

I therefore suggest to you that the most powerful tool you have is your mind. That is why the enemy fights you with suggestions and thoughts from these “no more beyond.”

Identify your “no more beyond” and do not allow them to determine how far you can rise in life. Everything is possible and where there is a will there is a way, do not let anyone tell you, it cannot be done when your instincts tell you it can be done.
